Are essential oils safe to use during pregnancy?

Yes! But there are a few bits and pieces to note before setting up your diffuser or rolling on your blends.

It's best avoid essential oils altogether throughout the first trimester of your pregnancy. This is the period of time where your baby is most fragile and sensitive to outside elements. When you hit the second trimester though, you'll be all set and ready to bask in your natural aromas once more.

Whenever you use essential oils, especially while pregnant, it's important to do a patch test on a small space of skin. This is to make sure you don't suffer from any skin irritation or allergies to the natural oils. Your skin may be more sensitive during pregnancy so it's important to patch test your essential oils even if you've already done so in the past.

Some oils are safer than others when it comes to diffusing or applying blends topically while pregnant. Let's find out which ones...
